Adair Released Mugshot Records
A booking photograph documents the image created during intake by a specific agency. It does not establish guilt, current custody, release, or the result of the criminal case. The useful identifiers are the booking agency, booking date, name, and booking or case number. Without that context, a photo from a different arrest can be mistaken for the Adair County record at issue.
Missouri law does not require Adair County to operate an online mugshot gallery. A photo can be requested through the county's form, which expressly lists “Booking Photo.” Access remains subject to Chapter 610 and other confidentiality rules. Juvenile records, protected victim details, active investigative material, safety-sensitive information, and other closed content may be withheld or redacted.
The release event still needs its own proof. Pair a photo with the sheriff's booking/release entry and the related court docket. A photograph confirms an intake image, while the custody record establishes whether the Adair booking ended by bond, sentence completion, dismissal, transfer, or another event.
Find Adair Released Booking Photos
Each image channel covers a different population. The source must match the custody system. A MODOC photo is relevant only to a person who entered state corrections, and a registry image applies only to someone with a registration duty.
| Channel | Has photo? | How to access |
|---|---|---|
| Adair sheriff release roster | No verified online field | No official release or photo feed was found. |
| Adair sheriff mobile app | None verified | No official sheriff app was linked by the county. |
| Sheriff records request | Available as a request category | Select “Booking Photo” and identify the booking. |
| MODOC offender source | May show a state image | Use only for a person who entered Missouri corrections. |
| MSHP registry | May show a registrant image | Use only for a person legally subject to registration. |
| Sheriff social or local news | Sometimes | Treat the image as episodic and confirm its agency and date. |
| Commercial publisher | Possibly stale | Not authoritative and not recommended for release proof. |
The Adair County release-record search can establish the custody event before the image is matched. For a very recent event, the Released Last 24 Hours page explains why an Adair sheriff record replaces an assumed photo feed.
Request Adair Booking Photos
The Adair County sheriff records page prefers a written request. Its form includes a specific “Booking Photo” choice. For the related release proof, select or describe “Other” and ask for the booking/release log or custody-event record. A combined request should keep the photo and release event as separate record items.
- Identify the person by full name and the approximate Adair booking date. Add the booking or court case number when known.
- Select “Booking Photo” on the county form. Separately request the booking/release record, release time, authority or type, and destination.
- Ask for an electronic copy when available and request a current cost estimate before an extensive search begins.
- Mail the request to Adair County Sheriff, 215 N. Franklin St., Kirksville, MO 63501, deliver it during records hours, or fax (660) 785-3224.
- If any part is closed, ask the coordinator to provide the segregated open portion and cite the legal basis for each redaction.
The office accepts in-person requests Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding county holidays. The records page does not publish an email submission route. Its policy requires action by the end of the third business day, but production can take longer for reasonable cause. A written explanation and earliest availability date should follow when more time is needed.
Ask for the open portion if a photo or part of the booking file is withheld. The custodian may redact closed details without withholding every releasable record. A written denial should cite the legal ground used, which makes a focused follow-up more useful than a broad demand.
The official county process is visible in this captured records-request source.
The source supports the primary local discovery route and avoids reliance on an unverified gallery.
Adair Mugshot Request Costs
The county form states $5 per record up to 20 pages, then $5 plus $0.10 for each page over 20. The first 30 minutes of search is listed as free, followed by $8.33 for each additional 30-minute period. Media, postage, outside copying, and needed technical help can be charged at actual cost. An extensive search may require a deposit.
Those are form-specific terms and may change. Missouri section 610.026 also controls public-record fee mechanics. If the current form and statute appear to differ, ask for a written estimate and application of current law. Do not promise a final price until the custodian confirms the scope, format, and work required.
The form lists cashier's check, money order, or personal check payable to Adair County Sheriff. It says no cash or credit/debit cards. Confirm payment instructions before sending funds with the request.
Adair MODOC Mugshot Limits
MODOC Offender Web Search is appropriate only when the person entered Missouri corrections custody or active community supervision. A state image does not prove an Adair County jail booking. It also does not prove the date or type of release from the local detention center. Compare the DOC number, name, birth information, offenses, and assigned location before connecting a state record to a county case.
The interactive search covers active incarcerated or supervised offenders and excludes fully discharged people. MODOC's nightly historical data includes current and former cases, but it is a charge-level file and carries accuracy warnings. For a releasable state photograph or precise discharge record, use the correct MODOC Sunshine custodian rather than treating an old image as a current custody statement.
A person may have both county and state images from different dates. Label each with its agency and booking or custody context. Do not use the newer-looking photo to infer which event came first, and do not treat a state assignment as proof that an Adair jail release went directly to the community.
The Missouri sex offender registry is narrower still. It applies only to registrants. An image or status there is governed by registration law, not by a general Adair released-inmate photo archive. It cannot establish the exact jail release time without the originating record.
Adair Mugshots After Expungement
Missouri section 610.140 generally measures expungement eligibility from completion of the authorized disposition. The researched current periods include three years for an eligible felony and one year for an eligible misdemeanor, municipal offense, or infraction. Certain arrests that did not lead to charges have a separate 18-month route. Many offenses and circumstances are excluded.
A petition should name every agency or entity believed to hold the record. A valid order served on named government custodians can close covered records. An unnamed holder may not be affected. Expungement can explain why a court or agency image disappears from public access, but it does not prove the booking never happened. It also does not ensure that every independent news archive removes its own copy.
For a county photo correction, contact the Adair sheriff. For a state image, contact MODOC. Registry information belongs with MSHP or the local registering official. A publisher controls its own caption, subject to applicable law.
Court access also has limits. Missouri public case search may omit protected party types, while dismissed matters and successful suspended-imposition-of-sentence completions can become confidential. A missing public docket or image is therefore not affirmative proof that no intake record existed.
Note: Dismissed cases, successful suspended-imposition-of-sentence completions, juvenile matters, and expunged cases can have restricted public access.
Missouri Mugshot Removal Charges
Missouri's distinctive rule is an anti-pay-to-remove law, not a ban on publishing booking photographs. Section 407.1150 bars a person who publishes or disseminates criminal-record information from soliciting or accepting payment or other consideration from the subject to remove or correct it.
The statute does not force Adair County to publish a photo. It does not make a commercial gallery accurate, and it does not guarantee that every lawful government image will be removed for free. The statute supplies criminal and civil consequences for a knowing and willful violation, while a correction or access request must still go to the source that controls the image.
Adair Sheriff Photos and Posts
The county sheriff page links an official Facebook page but no official mobile app. Selected agency posts may contain a photograph or public-safety update. They are not comprehensive. A missing post does not mean no booking occurred, and a posted photo does not show the later release disposition.
Local news may also publish a photo when reporting an arrest, court ruling, transfer, or notable release. The caption and article date must be checked against the originating agency and docket. News archives can preserve a photograph after the government record is restricted, corrected, or no longer shown online.
Commercial galleries can be stale, miscaptioned, or tied to a different arrest. They are not linked or endorsed. Never pay a publisher for release verification. Use the sheriff record and court case to confirm the event.
