Adair Projected Versus Actual Release
A projected date is a calculation or tentative milestone. An actual release date records what occurred. MODOC documents several date concepts: Sentence Maximum Release Date, Sentence-I Minimum Release Date, conditional-release date, and Presumptive Parole Release Date. Those labels cannot be exchanged. The presumptive parole date is tentative and depends on institutional behavior and an acceptable release plan.
A county detainee awaiting trial usually has no sentence-based release date. Release can follow bond, recognizance, dismissal, a new order, or another case event. A hold from a second authority can prevent community release even after the local basis ends. For a person serving a local sentence, the judgment, lawful jail credit, any other holds, and the sheriff's processing determine the event.
The Adair County release record is the best source for the completed county event. A MODOC event record is the state source. The court explains the legal order, but its docket may not show the moment that jail or prison staff completed processing.
Find Adair County Release Dates
Begin by identifying the custody level. The Adair County Detention Center, a MODOC institution, a federal prison, and an immigration detention setting use separate records. The MODOC search should not be used to predict a short local jail stay, and a county release record cannot calculate a state-prison sentence.
- Confirm the facility and case. Use the booking number, court cause number, or DOC number when available.
- For pretrial Adair custody, review the bond and orders in Case.net, then call the detention control room for current routing.
- For a local sentence, request the judgment, jail-credit information, release entry, and any open hold or destination field.
- For a state sentence, use the MODOC offender search and record each displayed date exactly as labeled.
- Compare every sentence row and determine whether terms run concurrently or consecutively.
- Confirm the completed event with the sheriff, MODOC, court, or the agency that assumed custody.
The Adair County sheriff records page is the written route for an existing county release or custody-event record. Ask for release date and time, authority or type, and destination. The sheriff contact page lists the detention control room at (660) 665-4644 extension 1 for operational routing, but “not here” does not explain whether the result was community release or transfer.
The broader named-person path appears on the Adair County released inmates search. The release-date task remains narrower: identify the correct calculated field, understand its limit, and verify the later event.
Adair State Release Date Fields
The MODOC Offender Web Search covers active state offenders, including people incarcerated or under probation and parole supervision. Search by DOC number when known. When using a name, compare all identity facts, assigned place, offense, county, and sentence. The interactive landing page does not promise that one universal field labeled “projected release date” appears for every person.
| Official concept | Meaning | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Sentence-I Minimum Release Date | Calculated minimum date on an active sentence | Not proof that release occurred |
| Sentence Maximum Release Date | Maximum release or expiration day for that sentence | One sentence row may not resolve the full case |
| Conditional-release date | Start of the supervised portion when the law applies | Can be affected by case and conduct rules |
| Presumptive Parole Release Date | Tentative Board release target | Depends on conduct and an acceptable plan |
| Actual event date | Date a documented custody change occurred | Must come from the event record, not relabeling |
The state search interface shown below is taken from the official MODOC search.
The public search is an entry point for active state cases, not an Adair County jail release calculator.
Note: Record the date label and the date of the search because active correctional information can change.
Adair Historical Release Date Data
A fully discharged person may no longer appear in the active Offender Web Search. MODOC's Sunshine Law offender-data page provides a nightly historical file covering people who are or have been under department supervision. Its documented data reaches as early as 1974, subject to conversion and accuracy cautions.
The historical layout includes DOC ID, identity fields, assigned place, court cause number, offense and sentence county, sentence-completed flag, concurrent or consecutive indicator, sentence date, maximum and minimum release dates, prison term, probation data, and location information. It is charge-level data. One person may have several rows, and completion on one row does not prove that all sentence or supervision duties ended.
The official field documentation shown below comes from the MODOC historical-data page.
The nightly file provides the former-offender route and documents the state terms used for minimum and maximum dates.
Missouri Conditional Release Computation
Section 558.011 divides certain eligible Missouri sentences into a prison portion and a conditional-release portion unless another rule applies. For an eligible non-dangerous felony term of nine years or less, the conditional portion is one-third. It is three years for a term over nine through fifteen years, and five years for a term over fifteen. The prison portion is the remainder.
Conditional release means supervised time in the community, not the end of the sentence. The Board can extend a conditional-release date after required process for institutional violations. Offense-specific law, sentence structure, detainers, program requirements, institutional conduct, Board action, and an acceptable release plan can all alter what a basic fraction seems to predict.
MODOC specifically warns that failure to complete the Missouri Sex Offender Program can change a conditional-release date. That is one example of why arithmetic alone cannot establish when a particular Adair County defendant will leave prison.
Adair Minimum Prison Term Limits
Section 558.019 creates minimum prison terms for specified repeat commitments and dangerous felonies. One prior prison commitment can produce a 40 percent minimum, two can produce 50 percent, and three or more can produce 80 percent, subject to statutory alternatives. A dangerous felony as defined by Missouri law carries an 85 percent minimum or the stated age-based alternative, whichever occurs first.
For this calculation, the statute treats life as 30 years and aggregate terms over 75 years as 75 years. These percentages are eligibility constraints. They are not guaranteed release dates. Other statutes can override the general framework, and parole eligibility does not require the Board to grant parole.
Sentence aggregation is especially important. Concurrent terms run at the same time, while consecutive terms run one after another. A date attached to one charge row may therefore give an incomplete picture. Use the judgment and all MODOC sentence rows together.
Earned Compliance After Adair Release
Missouri earned compliance is not a prison good-time formula. Section 217.703 concerns eligible people already on probation, parole, or conditional release. It provides 30 days of earned compliance credit for each full compliant calendar month, with no accrual during specified violation, absconder, custody, revocation, or suspension periods.
The credit can shorten community supervision and lead to discharge after statutory requirements are satisfied. It does not shorten the prison portion, set the day someone leaves a MODOC institution, or calculate the release of an Adair County detainee. No authoritative universal Missouri prison formula measured in days per month was found, and no Adair County jail good-time policy was located.
Final discharge through this credit route also depends on the statute's case-specific requirements. The researched framework includes at least two years served and completion of restitution where it applies. A credit total alone does not prove that MODOC supervision has ended.
- Good time
- A general label for lawful sentence credits, but Missouri has no universal formula supported by the research.
- Earned compliance
- Credit toward eligible community-supervision time after release.
- Conditional release
- The supervised community portion of an eligible sentence.
- Jail credit
- Time the court or jail lawfully applies to a particular sentence.
Why Adair Release Dates Change
A release date can move because the record is recalculated or because a later legal or custody event intervenes. The controlling agency should confirm the current date and the reason for a change.
| Factor | Possible effect | Where to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Sentence correction or jail credit | Changes the time applied to the term | Court judgment and corrections computation |
| Concurrent or consecutive structure | Changes how multiple terms combine | Judgment and MODOC sentence rows |
| Institutional violation | May extend conditional release after process | MODOC event and Board record |
| Program requirement | May block or move a conditional date | MODOC case record |
| Detainer or hold | Can send the person to another authority | Release record and receiving agency |
| Parole decision | Can set a tentative date or deny release | Parole Board notice |
The Adair County Circuit Court supplies the local judgment and points to Case.net. A release order proves legal authority, but the jail record supplies the completed processing time. The MODOC field office can explain active supervision placement after state release, but it does not calculate a county detention stay.
Confirm Adair Actual Release Dates
For an Adair County jail event, request the release entry and destination from the sheriff. For a state-prison event, use the MODOC record, Board notice when parole applies, and any assigned field office. Registering through Missouri MOVANS can help with future custody changes, but a notice remains a prompt to verify the event.
After the May 2026 MOVANS change, local jail and court alerts use SMS or email through VINELink/MOVANS. MODOC custody notification registration is handled by the Office of Victim Services. Federal BOP, ICE, and U.S. Marshals custody are outside Missouri MOVANS. The VINELink Release Check explains that separate notification route.
A date in the future should always be described with its official label. Once the event happens, replace prediction with the agency's actual release, transfer, parole, or discharge record. That keeps a projected calculation from becoming an unsupported claim.
